NLD advised Metro S.A. in a very relevant case known by the plenary of the Supreme Court, dismissing the lawsuit against our client. In the sentence, in a divided vote, in relation to the moment in which the statute of limitations in civil matters must be understood as interrupted, the plenary of the Highest Court inclined towards the thesis of the “notification of the claim” in detriment of the thesis of the “presentation of the claim”.
